Background

Minette has a twin brother named Miles who was always there to support and take care of her (especially after her mother died). Without him, she probably won’t be as cheerful as she is today...
Their biological father left when their mother was still conceiving them. Their mother decided to marry another man in hopes of giving them a better future. But sadly, their step father turned out to be a violent person. He hated the twins for resembling their biological father and abused them everyday, despite their mother’s pleading to stop. One day, Minnete accidentally broke some of her father’s collection of plates. Their father, blinded with rage, threw the broken glass at her. Miles used his own body to shield his sister. Most of the glass ended up hitting him in the face, leaving him a nasty scar and robbing him of his vision. Since then, he has never been able to see.
When they turned 10, her mother caught an incurable disease. And at her last breath, she gave Minnete a cross necklace. Right before her mother died, she told them the truth that they weren’t related to their father by blood. Miles had known this for quite a while and wasn’t really surprised at his mother’s confession. After their mother died, the twins decided to run away and travel by themselves. They stumbled on Clockwise Circus one day and decided to stay there.
It was the beginning of their new lives.
